Work Smarter in 30 with IPT

Give your team 30 days to see where Microsoft 365 Copilot fits into the way they work

Eligible businesses can give 25 users access to Microsoft 365 Copilot Business for 30 days and test it in the work they already do.

Work Smarter in 30 with IPT is a guided evaluation designed to help your team use Copilot during real meetings, emails, documents, and everyday workflows. By the end of the month, you should have a clearer view of where people are finding value and what wider adoption could look like for your organisation.

MORE ABOUT THE TRIAL

What is the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business trial?

The Microsoft 365 Copilot Business trial gives each eligible customer 25 licences for 30 days. The trial is available through Microsoft’s Cloud Solution Provider programme and is currently scheduled to be available through 31 December 2026. Trial quantity and duration are fixed.

The purpose of the 30 days is not simply to give people access to another tool. It gives your business time to see how Copilot performs in ordinary work and which uses people choose to return to.

With IPT supporting the process, your organisation can prepare for the trial, get users started, and review what the experience shows before deciding what to do next.

What will your team do during the 30 days?

1

Week 1: Get more from your inbox

Start with work most people already face every day. Users can explore how Copilot in Outlook helps them catch up on conversations, work through longer email threads, and prepare responses.

2

Week 2: Get more from meetings

Bring Copilot into Microsoft Teams to recap discussions, pick up what you missed, and make follow-up easier.

3

Week 3: Use Copilot in the apps you already work in

See how Copilot works across Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as people create, review, and work with information.

4

Week 4: Explore what else Copilot can take on

The final week introduces more advanced capabilities, including agents, giving users another opportunity to see where AI could help with work that takes more than a single prompt.Microsoft structures the trial around practical weekly scenarios, with users encouraged to build small, repeatable ways of using Copilot in their existing work.

What you will learn and who is eligible

What should you know by the end?

A useful AI evaluation should leave you with more than a login count.

You should have a better sense of where people chose to use Copilot again, which areas of work showed promise, and where users may still need support.

The process can also highlight issues that deserve attention before wider adoption. Microsoft recommends completing basic readiness work around identity, access, and permissions before enabling Copilot. Its guidance includes MFA and Conditional Access, along with a review of SharePoint permissions and overshared content.

That information gives the business something practical to work with when the trial ends.

Why run the evaluation with IPT?

Getting access to Copilot is only one part of the exercise.

IPT can help confirm whether your organisation qualifies for the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business trial and prepare the environment before users get started. During the evaluation, the focus stays on helping people use Copilot in work they already understand rather than creating artificial tasks simply to demonstrate the technology.

Once the 30 days are complete, the conversation can be based on what your team actually experienced.

Microsoft similarly recommends that partners help customers with licence assignment, identity and access validation, permissions reviews, and other basic readiness work before users begin.

Who is eligible for the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business trial?

Microsoft states that the Microsoft 365 Copilot Business trial is available to eligible SMB customers with Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Business Standard, or Business Premium, with up to 300 seats per tenant.

Each eligible customer can receive one 25-user, 30-day trial. Eligibility must be confirmed before the trial is activated.

IPT can check your eligibility before you begin.
